	CAPACITY BUILDING EXAMPLE Youth Reinsertion Project in Cote D'Ivoire During May through October, 2006, the firm assisted in carrying out the market assessment and design for this World Bank project, whose objective is to restart the Ivoirian economy and generate short and medium term employment for many unemployed youth, following the end of the civil war. Firm Associates assisted the analysis in country of six agricultural value chains, and worked with various stakeholders in the private sector, Government and parastatals to identify value chain expansion and extension opportunities that would also generate employment.
	We then assisted design of a project that will address business development at three levels: agricultural export value chain development and expansion; public/private support programs for self employment of unemployed youth in sectors where the investment is going; and support for Ivoirian companies seeking to repair damage infrastructure to employ and train youth. Team also developed with a local bank the structure for a proposed lending partnership to extend credits to producers and processors in identified value chains.	Furniture manufacture in Cote d'Ivoire.
